CFI Alumni “Welcome Back to Immunology” Event – April 18, 2019
The Center for Immunology hosted its first-ever “Welcome Back to Immunology” gathering on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the University of Minnesota. This festive event brought together alumni, current trainees, and faculty to reconnect, celebrate ongoing research, and officially launch the Mescher Trainee Enhancement Fund. Guests enjoyed complimentary appetizers and beverages and heard remarks from Center Director Dr. Marc Jenkins about how the fund supports trainee professional development, travel, emergency care, and more.
As a special highlight, the original lab door from Dr. Robert A Good’s lab was presented as a symbolic “New Door to Discovery” for the Center for Immunology, representing the ongoing legacy of innovation and mentorship at CFI.
