On April 30, 2018, the Center for Immunology was honored to host Congressman Emmer to Tea and Talk.

Dr. Nathan Schuldt invited Congressman Emmer to tour our facility after visiting the congressman in Washington D.C. as part of the American Association of Immunologists Public Policy Fellowship Program.  After a tour and discussion on the importance of basic research to spur advancements in health care, Congressman Emmer greeted CFI staff and opened the floor to questions. The visit was a great opportunity to showcase to the Congressman our important role in scientific research while creating an open dialogue about the need for continued support for NIH and science funding.
