Fellowship dates: 2019-2021
Research Emphasis:  Projects were focused on SARS-CoV-2 and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Utilized scRNA-seq to characterize cellular responses to SARS-CoV-2 infection using HTBE cultures, and developed a high throughput assay to screen convalescent plasma from recovered Covid-19 patients for SARS-CoV-2 viral neutralization. Project on advancing our understanding of how the immune system combats M. tuberculosis infection, the causative agent of human TB to develop potential host-directed therapeutics that will improve the ability to treat TB.
