Congratulations to the winners of the UMN Graduate Schools 2021 Best Dissertation Award! A student from each of four groups – arts and humanities, biological and life sciences, physical sciences and engineering, and social sciences and education – was chosen by faculty from the broad disciplinary area. Selections were based on the originality and importance of the research, as well as the potential for the student to make an unusually significant contribution to their field.
Sathi Wijeyesinghe Receives Best Dissertation Award

We are pleased to share that MSTP/MICaB Graduate Student Sathi Wijeyesinghe has been designated the winner of the University of Minnesota Graduate School's "Best Dissertation Award" in Biological and Medical Sciences for 2021. This is a considerable honor for Sathi, his dissertation advisor (Dr. David Masopust), and the MICaB Program. Congratulations Sathi!
