Research Emphasis: Focused on two key areas: (1) understanding the immunosurveillance and target cell-killing mechanisms of CD8 memory T cells in the murine reproductive mucosa using advanced imaging and (2) investigating how non-human primate CD8 memory T cells activate stromal, parenchymal, and immune cells to orchestrate an antiviral defense in the female reproductive tract of rhesus macaques.
